Jennifer Tilly is a Los Angeles native born under very poor conditions in September 16th in 1958. Her mother worked as a teacher and failed actor, while her father was a salesman for cars. Jennifer was the youngest of her family's four children often accompanied her mother to performances in the theater and was very impressed with her. Jennifer's parents separated at age five. Jennifer was raised in British Columbia by her mother, who moved with her four siblings. Jennifer was not a scholar, though as a youngster she was extremely artistic. Her school was often the subject of bullying as a result of her experience in Canada's schools. The actress began losing interest at the theatre during her time in high school. Her mother encouraged her to take on different roles in plays. She encouraged her kids to be passionate about the arts. Then she began acting.
